Values
I'm trying to establish some new norms...some new things that are unique to my life post-devastating-heartbreak. I'm meditating now which I love, especially when I'm stressed or my brain won't turn off of thoughts that just overwhelm everything. I'm also using an app called Happify that allows you to choose different tracks and really focus on who you are as a person and strategies to help you with things such as getting to know yourself, anxiety, etc. Tonight my task was to really focus on what my values are, what rules I live by and why. It was amazing to have them just flow out because it's really the first time in all this that I've realized that I'm becoming me and really creating a life that I can be proud of. Below is what I wrote and honestly even if you aren't going through hell like me you should absolutely check out the site and app. Anyone can benefit from 10 minutes a day just focusing on themselves!
I am so sorry you are goung through this. I think you are wonderful! Especially being able to write so openly for everyone to see. I think that believing in yourself is so very important and as hard as this is ( I can't imagine) I hope that you find peace and happiness on the otherside:) I hope you and Henry have a lovely day tomorrow!
